2) Martha charges about $10,000 for a 30-second spot to advertise a product on her show.
3) No, i dont think its hurting the show because if the people see what products shes using and they like it, they will continue watching the show and buying that product.
4) i think product placement is a good idea because it gives credit to the product thats being used and its basically its and AD on tv.

JUST BE PREPARED!!!
Next, explain whether she is optimistic or pessimistic. How can you tell?
Shes optimistic because she gives good advise and thinks they are the future and can change the world.
Thirdly you will write your OWN 300 word speech for current graduates. What advice do you have for current graduates?
Current graduates, you are now going out into the real world. Firsts come college jobs. Some of you already have jobs but, what im talking about are the real jobs. Dont stay working at Burgerkingfor ever because you can chnage the world for everyone and witht hat job you one day wont be able to support your family.
Hopefuly you have enjoyed your highschool experience because that was a once in a lifetime thing. What come to you now is all very different, you will need to start orking more for more money because you want to go out with your girlfriend or boyfriend and then have to limit your time with school and doing papers.
For example think about your parents and how much they work to buy you whatever you wanted and give you money to go out, well now all of that is in your hands.
Its important that you stay focus because the real world is more harder than what you have been thru. There are mean people that are going to always put you down but always keep your head up and dont let that get to you, always listen to your peers the ones you know always give you best advice. You will have problems but just beacuse your grown up now or you live by yourself doesnt mean that your parents wont be there to help you.

According to this obviously biased site, when should people stick with Windows?
-Proprietary software, Games, better for Books & printing industry, and Hardware.
Which are the three most compelling reasons to migrate to Linux, according to the web site ? Elaborate on each.
-no virus, its harder for people to hack in. LINUX can be cheaper, free; not like windows that you have ot pay for it. And "Linux and 'Open Source' software are 'free'.
Create a hyperlink to the above website on your blog. A hyperlink is able to be clicked and doesn't need to be copied and pasted into the address bar.

first article
How does the situation today compare with what happened at the library of Alexandria?
- Because just like the "library of Alexandria in Egypt was one of the most devastating losses of knowledge in all of civilization" almost 44% of websites since 1998 vanished, meaning a bunch of information was lost.
Give a summary of the article and your own feelings as to whether the American government should invest money in this project.
-The American Gobernment should invest money in this project because if our daily things like cellphones, ipods, computer etcs use internet things and websites then without that we wont be able to use any of that.
The article talked about how bad the problem can be because internet practicaly can relate to anything, it can be found almost anywhere and the average american uses it everyday for news, communication etc. So without internet or websites we would bearly have anything or we would but things wouldnt be as advanced.

2 CNNmoney articles
the article is about a man named Warren Buffett and how he wants to buy a huge, big business. Im guessing mr. buffett is a really big known man because he has an article on how he will like to buy a bigger business for his berkshire hathaway insurance and investment company and later would sell other investments to buy it. Buffett is a little worried that this will not work but he is hoping it does.
Gas prices hit record high
This article is about how gras prices keep on going high and now they have already beat the record. the article says that gas proces have gone up 12 cents higher than they were a ear ago, this might not seem much to the ones that dont drive, but to the ones that do it does because they are the ones working and paying for the gas. Even the lowest average is still a lot to be paying for gas.

better for a large or small business
Blog:
can be used for both small and large business, but it will be more useful for a small business for the small amount of people working there to communicate and find out what each are doing.
Web Site:
both large and small business can use because with a website more people can look at it and get more and more popular with the business.
FTP:
a large business can use this more to tranfer data from different computers.
HTTP:
both business can use to transfer information on the "www". So for example to make a website.
Web services:
both can use but a large business would probably need it more because they can work with different computers.
Podcasts:
both large and small business can use for movies or media players or even for people to talk to each other about the product or whatever the business is about.
RSS feeds:
both business cna use to update their work.
VOIP:
both business can use, but a large business would be better for it to communicate since its bigger and more people hear about it.
Web mail:
this is perfect for both business because everyone uses email and business probably need it more to work with others.
Web browser: Firefox vs. Internet Explorer
firefow is better because it lets you do more things, it work better with flash and probably other things like movies or for a business it can be better for a good advertizement.

make class more conducive to learning
One suggestions to make class more conducive to learning. How can a system be designed so students care more for learning?
One way to make classes more conductive to learning can be by probably changing the grading system. Lets say you do all your homework and you tried very hard on it but then the next day when your checking it at school you get most of them wrong and end up getting an F. That really pisses a lot of people off because if you did your homework and ended up getting an F then you basically just waisted your time. Also the school can let us students have a little more hands on ativities, i enjoy that and im sure a lot of other students do too, and its not like we dont learn, i find myself learning a little more than ususal with projects.
